Quilt donated for Raffle

The “Calico Cut Up Quilt Club” of Celina Ohio donated this beautiful 88.5 by 103 inch “ Eagles and Stars”  quilt to Angels for Veterans. The quilt will be raffled by Angels for Veterans to help raise money for their dog program called “Angel PAWS” The Angel PAWS are professionally trained dogs whose purpose is to assist veterans with physical and mental disabilities. The dogs can provide mobility, hearing, vision, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) assistance.

Angels for Veterans raises the funds necessary to train the dogs.  The dogs are provided as gifts to disabled veterans. The dogs ultimately provide a buddy system similar to the having a military buddy who will always have your back. The dogs open doors to new beginnings. The healing begins one PAW at a time.  Our dogs can open refrigerator doors, turn lights off and on, propel a wheelchair, pull up blankets and interrupt nightmares just to name a few skills. They provide love and companionship 24/7No appointment ever needed.

Angels for Veterans became a nonprofit charitable organization in 2009. The dog program was added to the organizations programs in 2012.

Each dog costs the organizations thousands of dollars to complete.  The funds are raised through fundraisers such as the current raffle of this quilt.  The organization relies upon donations, events to raise money and raise awareness.  Veteran and non- veteran organizations have been very supportive.  Often individuals and organizations have elected to become sponsors of our dogs. Veterans throughout the state have received service and companion dogs.

Those interested in raffle tickets may contact the organization through their website /email. The quilt will be travel to various clubs and organizations.  Locations and ticket information can be observed on the web site. www.angelsforveterans.org  Angels for Veterans P.O. Veterans Day 2016

Veterans Day 2016

Nothing compares to the life and service of our military men and women.

Throughout history our veterans have displayed a courage which most of us will never find within ourselves.

They have been willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for our precious freedoms as they protect and honor our county. They represent ALL Americans and all of America.

We stand high on their shoulders as we enjoy our richness of life and liberty.

We grateful to all our Veterans. Thankful for their service, their courage, and their sacrifices.

May you have a peaceful and glorious day as our country celebrates you on Veterans Day 2016.

Founder Sandra Bohle
